Hines ward started out as a famous football player.   He is also a celebrity.  But what makes him an inspiration to me is that he is a triathlete.  Anyone that works hard and trains for a triathlon is a true athlete.  I should know because that is the sport I love and compete in.
He played football for the Steelers. He played wide receiver. This made him a very good athlete. His athleticness helps him in his triathlon.
Hines also did a triathlon. A triathlon consist of swim , bike, and run. He did a 70.3 race.1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike, 13.1 mile run. His time was 5:53:18. He ranked 623.

Hines ward is my inspiration. He worked hard to accomplish his goal. I hope to do one as long as the triathlon he did. This is why he is my inspiration.

My first Ironkids Race~Eye of the Tiger

This is it, today I will become an Ironkid. Oh, let me tell you the whole story.
And besure to check out my video.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uf8moUntf_E

This was my first triathlon so I was very nervous. It was one of the biggest triathlons, it was an Ironkids run, swim and bike. It was held in Florida.

My mom was looking for races and found the Ironkids. She signed me up and I began training.

My aunt, cousin, grandmother, and mom all came to watch me.

My mom found us a really cool hotel it had a pool, park, mini golf, and a water slide.

My pre-race meal was at the Olive Garden.

We stopped by Downtown Disney.

Lego store is always my favorite.

On race morning I set up my bike and soon the race started. I had to do 3 things, Swim, Bike, Run. I swam in a pool. The pool was crowed.  The biking was hard because I had to go up hills. When I was doing the running part, I caught a cramp.

At the end my time was 32 minutes 10 seconds. My time for the swim was 3 minutes 10 seconds for 150 yards, for bike 18 minutes 52 seconds for 4 miles, and run 9 minutes 22 seconds for 1 mile.

After the race mom took me to the BIGGEST Mcdonalds in the world.

That night I went to bed tired but proud of my new IRONKIDS medal.

Color the Grove a run through color

Have you ever ran in color before.  Well I am going to tell you about the time I ran in color.

The run was held in a city in South Ga called Albany.  The run was called  Color the Grove5k.  It was ran in the afternoon so it was really hot.  It was the hottest race I have ever been in.

My grandmother, friends, brother and mom all ran this race with me.  This was my grandmothers first 5k running.  Most of my friends ran with my brother because I was to fast.

People throw out the color as I ran.  Someone threw color at my mouth and it made me look like I was missing teeth.  My mom made me a Mickey shirt and hat and it ended up getting all colored.  Running this 5k was really neat.

The run was not really marked good so I ended up running more than just a 5k. There was not clear finish line.   I ended up running 4.5 miles.  It was really tiring!

When I finished I was colored from head to toe.  My teeth was colored.  I think it was a good run.

Island Running!

This year for Christmas I received the greatest gift ever.  A DISNEY CRUISE!!! I was so excited about it.  My mom did some research about the Disney cruise and found out that it had a 5k run . This made me even more excited because I wanted to run on Disney's private island.

We boarded the ship but could not go into the cabin, because we had to wait for our luggage.   So we explored the ship.   They  had a big water slide called the aqua-duck   I had my own play place. My brothers also had their own hang out spots.  On the ship they had a buffet that was open all day.  That was
my favorite part of the cruise.

The morning of the run  I went to the meet up place and my dad went to get two big cookies for breakfast. At the meet up I was told by a cast member that I could not run because I was to young.  My mom talked to the cast member and they said I could run but I would not get a bib or a medal. But he also said that no one would get a medal, because they were remaking them.  I ran it with my mom anyways.

We walked to the starting line.  In 1...2...3 bang we were off.  On the route, I ran through the parent only beach.  This was  a great run.  I ran in a loop, I passed others on the run.   My time was 26.32.  I came in way before my mom. This was an easy run.  Kids my age can run this with no problems.

After the race was  over my family and I went snorkeling   We also went to lunch on the island. On the island they had a buffet. My mom, dad and me road on a water bike.   It was really fun.

When we came back to the ship to our surprise my mom had a medal waiting for her but not for me.  My brave dad went to tell them and he got a medal for me.  I was really excited to have a medal.  So I had a great time on the rest of my cruise.

Hines Ward, My inspiration poem & Video!

I like Hines Ward, he drinks chocolate milk,
It is softer than silk.

Chocolate is my favorite candy,
It makes me feel dandy.

It helps me run fast,
So I don't come in last.

Watch my clip,
Maybe you'll want a sip.

Chocolate Milk, it's the best,
I drink it during my rest.

Praying for Boston

Yesterday I was so excited to watch the Boston Marathon, but was shocked about the bombing.
I feel bad about all the bad stuff.
I will pray for all the families.

Flash Found ~ no longer MIA

Flash is Found
I was no longer sick so I was ready to run.  My mom found a run that was around Halloween so I could wear my Flash Costume.  She did not want to run this one so I ran this race all by myself.  This run was called Fight For Air.  It helped the American lung Association.
I wanted to dress as a Flash because I feel as fast as a Flash when I run.  The costume has red and yellow arm bands.  It has a hat with lighting bolts and my shirt had a big lighting bolt on my chest.  This was a homemade costume.

I grabbed it off the shelf and put it on.  This Flash was ready for a race.  I ate breakfast and went off on my adventure.  I ran this race by myself, although my mom waited for me at half way and my Dad was waiting at the finish line.

It was a rainy day.  I had never ran in the rain before so this was a first.  I got to the starting line and 1,2,3 BANG! I was off.  When I got to the half way point I ate an energy jelly bean.  It gave me the energy that I needed and I felt as fast as Flash.   The rain was actually a good thing because it cooled me down when I got hot.

My time for this 5k was 26:50.  I came in first in my age group, but the website says I came in second.  This was because a little boy didn't finish the race and when he turned around to go back his chip clocked him walking across the finish line.  I also won first place for my fast costume.

This was my second race when I got first place.  I love racing and I love the bling.
